As i mentioned in last post, i am a KMS student.
N i dun know y, i am tertibly homesick here. The thing is, i've stayed at hostel 4 like 5 years means dat this is not the 1st time i live apart from my family. (wth is wrong with me ðŸ˜)
I often blame SLE for it. LOL
Yesterday, on 7th august, it girl's turn for outing.
As usual, i go back home 🙆(my home is just 20 min from KMS, but still feeling homesick-its kinda stressing act 😴)
So, as i miss my mum so much, i decided to spent this whole day with her.
So, we cooked together, yeayy !
My mum made laksa johor n i made this kek lumut.
Laksa johor is kinda complicated, but kek lumut is easy like hell,
Here r the recipe :
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup fine sugar
1/2 cup susu pekat manis
1 3/4 butter
10 eggs
1 cup horlicks pwder
1 cup marie cookies (blended until get texture like flour)7
1 cup kaya paste
A few drop of pndan paste (from sarawak)
First, hit the butter n the sugar until it turns white.
Then while mixture is beated, put all the eggs into the mixture one by one.
Then put in the susu pekat manis n horlick pwder.
Then add in the wheat flour n the maries cookies.
Last but not least add in the pndan paste.
Pour in loyang, steam for 1 hour n half.
Cooled before serve.
The colour may not be nice, but the taste is superb, i swear.
If u r creative u can modified this recipe like combining it with cheese caramel or, using oreo based.
Cooking is experimenting.
